
Haley Bennett, OTD, OTR/L, is a passionate pediatric occupational therapist and the founder of Hand in Hand Therapy, PLLC. Originally from Alabama and now proudly serving families throughout Moore County, North Carolina, Haley is dedicated to helping children build the skills, confidence, and independence they need to thrive in everyday life. She believes every child deserves individualized care that celebrates their unique strengths while empowering families to support progress beyond the therapy session.
Haley earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham before completing her Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree at Methodist University. Throughout her education and clinical training, she discovered a passion for pediatrics and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact during the most important years of a child's development.
Haley specializes in working with infants, toddlers, children, and adolescents with a wide variety of developmental, sensory, neurological, and behavioral needs. She utilizes evidence-based, play-based interventions to help children develop fine motor skills, emotional regulation, sensory processing, executive functioning, self-care skills, social participation, and overall independence. Her goal is to create engaging therapy experiences that foster confidence, build meaningful life skills, and make learning fun.
Haley has pursued advanced training in developmental reflex integration and sensory processing, with specialized coursework focused on identifying and addressing retained primitive reflexes that may impact learning, behavior, regulation, and motor development. She incorporates a holistic, nervous-system-focused approach into each individualized treatment plan, helping children develop strong foundations for success at home, in school, and within their communities.
Haley believes that the best outcomes occur when therapists and families work together as a team. She is committed to building genuine relationships with each child and caregiver, providing education, encouragement, and practical strategies that empower families to support their child's growth long after each therapy session ends. Through Hand in Hand Therapy, her mission is to create a welcoming environment where every child feels valued, capable, and celebrated for who they are.

Karly Wehrman, PT, DPT, PCS, is a compassionate pediatric physical therapist dedicated to helping children reach their fullest potential through movement, play, and functional development. Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Karly is passionate about supporting children and their families as they work toward meaningful developmental milestones and greater independence in everyday activities.
Karly earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from High Point University before pursuing her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Neumann University. Throughout her education and clinical training, she developed a strong interest in pediatrics and the unique opportunity to make a lasting impact during a child's developmental years.
Karly specializes in working with infants, toddlers, children, and adolescents with a variety of developmental, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions. She utilizes evidence-based, individualized treatment approaches designed to improve strength, balance, coordination, mobility, and overall motor development. Her goal is to create engaging, play-based therapy sessions that help children build confidence while achieving meaningful functional goals.
To further enhance her clinical expertise, Karly has earned certifications in Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) Levels A and B as well as TASES. These specialized training programs provide her with advanced skills in promoting motor development, postural control, balance, and functional movement for children with a wide range of abilities and diagnoses. She incorporates these techniques into individualized treatment plans to help children maximize participation at home, in school, and within their communities.
